What is a MOOC?
A MOOC (massive open online course) is a "course of study made available over the Internet to a large number of people". For #edchatNZ, this means a high quality, free, rigorous, easily accessible professional development course. This means that teachers from anywhere and everywhere, regardless of location can access relevant professional development.
What's the point of an #edchatNZ MOOC?
The aim of this MOOC will be to develop participants’ capacity to discuss education futures more frequently, in deeper, more sophisticated ways, whilst taking on a more active, informed role in experimenting with change.
How do I get involved?
Like all things #edchatNZ, we need your voice. We are designing this MOOC around you and your professional learning needs. Hence, please take a moment to provide us with feedback by completing the survey.
Additionally, you can also sign up for the MOOC mailing list to stay in the loop the planning, pedagogy, and other developments take place. This also means you will be the first to know when the course opens for enrolments.
Finally, you may also wish to contribute to the MOOC. This might be through a short video, curating content or another means. We are keen to have as many experts and practitioners as possible.
